Responsible for answering technical and pedagogical questions concerning OTL (Online Teaching & Learning) and the use of the Blackboard/WebCT platform/tools for the international community of Blackboard/WebCT Administrators, Instructors, Course Designers, and Students. 1987-2000: Services include writing, editing, and document creation, and graphic design and layout. International contracts in technical writing, and in the creation and editing of corporate employee training programs and training materials, operations & procedures manuals. Miscellaneous copy editing, including two new-author novels, articles, brochures, flyers, newsletters.
1994-1995 and 1999-2008: Adult Learning Centre. For adults who are upgrading academic skills to complete graduation requirements and increase employability. Online curriculum courses; design, write, create, and teach with browser-based learning materials using Blackboard/WebCT. Teach pre-secondary upgrading, secondary Accounting, Business Computer Applications, Data Management, Math, English & Communications.
1995-1999: T.A.S.C. Learning Lab (Trades, Apprenticeship & Secondary Completion Lab) Adult students upgrading academics, GED preparation, basic computers, and employment skills prior to trades apprenticeship training. Set up the new Learning Lab, create mastery-based learning programs for participants, teach individualized course content.
1993-1994: P.O.W.E.R. Program, a ministry-funded Dogwood Graduation program for young adults and at-risk youth ages 16 to 19 years.
1992-1993 : Adult Learning Centre and Y.W.F.C. (Youth Working For Change), inter-ministerial pre-employment program for at-risk youth 16 to 19 years.
1987- 1988: (Position at leaving). Tasks: on PC network, run data-base, word processing, spreadsheets; manager customer files in data base. Installation and development of new software, training & assisting staff in computer use in all branches. Head of direct-mail advertising.
1986- 1987: (Previous position). Tasks: In charge of correspondence, computers, publications editor. Create all graphic design and advertising layout. Design, compile, edit, and publish regular newsletter. Customer service, hearing aid servicing, accounting.
For first 15 years used traditional design and layout methods. Four years with Avenida Arts, Edmonton; the remaining years were self-employment.
